Parenting The Teenage Brain
There comes a time for most parents where you start to look at your teenage child and not recognize them anymore. The teenage years can be challenging with changing brains and bodies, development occurring in leaps and bounds (or seeming to not be happening at all), their priorities shift, and emotions become unpredictable and ever changing. Often communication starts to break down or conflicts and tension become the norm. Parents and caregivers need just as much support in understanding how to navigate this crucial transition period as the teenager themselves. At Parenting the Teenage Brain we focus on providing education, key strategies to cope and respond to teens, and a nonjudgmental, supportive place for parents and caregivers to land for a moment of reprieve.
