Social Worker (MSW, RSW)

Mel McBride

My priority is to provide a calm, comfortable therapeutic environment while meeting you exactly where you are. I understand that beginning therapy can feel unfamiliar or even intimidating, and I strive to make each session grounded, supportive, and approachable. My work is guided by compassion, validation, and a commitment to understanding your needs while building on your existing strengths.

As a Registered Social Worker, I have extensive experience supporting youth and adults navigating a range of mental health and addiction related challenges. I work with individuals aged 16 and older who are seeking support with anxiety, low mood, life transitions, stress management, and relational concerns.

My therapeutic approach is eclectic and tailored to each client. I integrate principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), drawing on Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques when they may enhance the work.

I look forward to connecting with you and creating a supportive space where you can begin working toward your personal goals.
